A story about Depression (Photoshoot)

Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being.[1][2] People with a depressed mood can feel sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, helpless, worthless, guilty, irritable, ashamed or restless. They may lose interest in activities that were once pleasurable, experience loss of appetite or overeating, have problems concentrating, remembering details or making decisions, and may contemplate, attempt or commit suicideInsomniaexcessive sleepingfatigue, aches, pains, digestive problems or reduced energy may also be present.

(Girl): I see in the Mirror and I don't recognize what I see...Is that me?I'm filled with fear, sadness, anxiety, Hopelessness!
(Girl): WHY can't the pain go away?I hate it, I hate....Myself
(Girl): Do other people see me the same way?

(Depression): yes they do, huh you are worthless.
(Depression): Why are you still here? Why don't you just give up?
(Depression): I can help the pain go away you know...Just kill yourself, it's easy
(Girl): Someone please HELP ME, Is this how it ends?is this really the end?Why doesn't anyone love me?
(Depression): The answer will always be the same, You are ugly in and out, no one needs you, no one wants you, no one knows you even exist

(Depression): Take the razor, go on, TAKE IT, do us all a favor, do your self A favor and end it, end it NOW!!!!you know you want to....

(In this picture the girl is scared of the demon which in this case represents depression)

*A faded whisper says "Don't let it win"

(Girl): Who?Who is that?
(Whisper): "Hope..."
(Girl): I have no Hope, I never had...HOPE
(Hope): Oh but you do, you are the most kind, beautiful, sweet person I know
(Hope): And I know you very well...
(Hope): I'm the one that helps you get out of bed , when the only thing you want to do, is nothing
(Hope): I'm the one that Told you not to pick up the razor
(Hope): I'm the one that tells you now more then ever, YOU CAN WIN
(Hope): Don't give up, NEVER give up because a lot of people love you
(Hope): You are stronger than you think
(Hope): Do you want all these bad things to go away?
(Girl): Yes Hope, PLEASE, YES!!!!
(Hope): Then FIGHT and with me by your side, WE WILL WIN!!!!

People who suffer from depression go through this every single day!
Unfortunately society is still closed-minded about depression, but keep in mind that depression is a psychological disorder and like all mental disorders, is an illness.
We, as a community should give hope, love and respect to people with depression, so they could start fighting harder and eventually win their "demons"!

This goes out to all people who suffer from depression: You are strong and you can get through this, you are not alone....Please if you have suicidal thoughts, contact someone that could help or visit a professional. Don't struggle with depression by yourself!

Summer Festival Inspired Photoshoot

Yes people, the summer is coming and all kinds of Festivals are happening, so here's a small photoshoot to get you all inspired up and put you in the mood for SUMMER!

I shot this photo at Exposure 1/500,  f/4.5,  ISO 100 with the Nikon 35.0mm  f/1.8 lens.

I tried to hide the Sun a little bit so I could get the sun beam effect and it worked pretty well.
I edited it in Lightroom and Photoshop although it didn't need much editing. The first thing I did was to worm up the colors a little bit, then I used curves to pop up  some shadows and highlights, then dodge and burn on the ground and the eyes  in Photoshop!

At This photo I positioned the model looking directly at the sun with her head up so we could avoid any harsh eye and chin shadows
